"We stumbled in here as pilgrims without expectations—and it was an utterly perfect dining experience. Our host, Raquel, was the kindest, funniest, most gracious person—and went out of her way to make other diners also feel extra-welcomed. (Menu translated in multiple languages, too.) The food was outstanding—enormous portions, carefully created, very tasty. The tapas alone would have each made great meals (highly recommend the tortilla/Spanish omelette), and one of the “rice” dishes completely satisfied four hungry hikers. My only regret is that we were too full for postres—desserts! Be sure to make the stop from Redondela or along the Camino in Cesantes: what a wonderful evening!"
